Leaf Bio was invited to the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), a premier global platform for trade and innovation. Under the theme “From Nature, Back to Nature,” Leaf Bio presented complete value chain from non‑food biomass to high‑performance polymers and commercial applications, highlighting the industrialization progress of plant based materials.
Leaf Bio has long been committed to the development and industrialization of FDCA and PEF. At the CIIE, Leaf Bio fully demonstrated its technology pathway — from non‑food biomass and recycled textiles to FDCA, PEF, and then to packaging and textile applications. Through proprietary innovation, Leaf Bio has achieved enhanced material performance and inherent sustainability, and holds ISCC PLUS certification, further validating the sustainability and full‑chain traceability of its feedstock sourcing and production pathways.
For ECOPEF, Leaf Bio showcased its high‑barrier packaging solutions and complete industrial chain achievements, including a high‑barrier beer bottle and a health supplement bottle made from ECOPEF resin, offering excellent oxygen and CO₂ barrier properties. The products demonstrate ECOPEF’s functionality and commercial adaptability in packaging applications.
Leaf Bio also presented BioFleax®, the plant-based performance material platform for textile industry. The showcase demonstrated the conversion pathway of non-food biomass and recycled cotton feedstocks into plant-based PEF fibers, with lasted fabric developments and apparel samples designed for sportswear and lifestyle setting illustrating the comfort, strength, and design flexibility of plant‑based fibers.
During the CIIE 2025, Leaf Bio and Australia Biotechnology Group (ABG) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly develop high-barrier PEF packaging solutions for health and wellness products, expanding international collaboration around plant-based material applications.
