BioFleax® Presented at Future Fabrics Expo 2026

BioFleax® was presented at Future Fabrics Expo 2026, the largest showcase dedicated exclusively to sourcing sustainably and responsibly-produced, best practice and certified materials, which is committed to enabling the industry to shift from fossil‑based to a low‑carbon, diversified fibre portfolio fit to operate within planetary boundaries.

Renewable carbon, agricultural waste valorisation, bio‑based materials, and next‑generation fibres were central to the discussions across the event. BioFleax demonstrated how molecular design converts agricultural residues and recycled textiles into high‑performance plant‑based materials, and brought the latest fabrics and sample garments across sportswear, outdoor, and lifestyle scenarios. The downstream pathway from fiber to finished garments validated the commercial viability and industrial adaptability of plant‑based materials. BioFleax has entered commercial deployment, with its industrial viability validated through partnerships with global fashion brands and scalable production capacity in place.

Jerry Luo, CMO & Co-founder of Leaf Bio, joined a panel discussion on the transition from petrochemical to bio-based feedstocks and noted that the industry is moving from evaluating plant-based materials to integrating them into scalable, commercially relevant fashion systems. BioFleax has already shown this is achievable across performance, scale, and market adoption.
